What started as just a big dream has turned into an amazing reality.

In early 2010, after working in a salon as a stylist for 10 years, it was time to try it on my own. My family, and at the time, my friend Rob, all pulled together to help my dream come true. In July of that year, I opened Shag Hair Salon. Shortly after opening, I had most of my chairs filled with excellent stylists. In July of 2013, my friend Rob became my husband… So now with my son Anthony, we were a family of three. Since he had also been working as a hair stylist since 2000, we decided that it was best for him to come work at Shag. Just a quick 9 months later we became a family of 4 when our daughter, Sloane, came into our lives. Rob and I are both graduates of Montour High School and South Hills Beauty Academy. Rob has worked in a salon since he was 17. Early on he knew his path in the industry. He has been educated by some of the best in the business and has had the opportunity to educate younger stylists. His specialty is barber style cuts, but he is also very skilled in all cutting techniques and coloring as well. When he is not in the salon, he fills his time with many hobbies… hunting, fishing and woodworking are his favorites.

As for myself, upon graduating from South Hills Beauty Academy, I was given a full scholarship to continue my schooling and receive my cosmetology teaching license. My passion has grown with every passing moment in the beauty industry. I wanted to bring all of my favorite things together… family, making people smile, and beauty. Through opening Shag, I have tried my best to bring these things together. I love to learn all of the new trends and incorporate them into the techniques and knowledge that have brought me to where I am today.

No matter your age, style or need, I will make sure that you have an amazing experience and leave my chair feeling GORGEOUS!

Jamie Justice

Senior Stylist and Manager

Hi, I’m Jamie! I started my career at Shag Hair Salon in 2013. What had started at a young age assisting at the salon, turned into a passion, working my way up to a Senior Stylist & Manager. I specialize in custom color services, trendy haircuts, hand tied extensions and bridal hairstyles. I love to continuously evolve and learn new tips and tricks that I can share with my clients so they can use them at home. I am also a sucker for a great hair product, so if you need any recommendations, come my way! My favorite thing about working behind the chair is seeing my client’s smile from ear to ear after nailing their look…it’s a confidence boost for me and them! When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband doing house projects, finding a great spot to eat, and attending a good country concert. If I’m not doing that, I’m snuggling with my French Bulldog, Cooper! Family is everything to me, and that’s what makes Shag Hair Salon so special. We are a family here, employees and clients, and I hope you come to experience our family soon!

As a second generation stylist, I was born with a passion for hairstyling. With 15 years of experience, I’m not just a hairstylist, I am also a passionate educator dedicated to sharing my knowledge and expertise with my clients and future stylists. I specialize in creating bold transformations with vivid colors, custom extensions, lived in balayage, and soft romantic updos. No matter what look you are looking to achieve, I am the stylist for you. Have a seat in my chair and together we will bring your vision to life.

Lisa Justice

My name is Lisa and I have more than fifteen years of experience as a hairstylist. Throughout this time, I have created a relaxed, easy going salon environment so that my clients can express their vision and I can help them achieve what they are looking for and feel their best. When not at the salon, you can find me with my loving family, my incredibly supportive husband and our two amazing sons! When I make my clients smile, that is a successful appointment!

Natalie Damico

Senior Stylist

I am a Shag employee of thirteen years, with over twenty five years of experience in the hair industry. I began my journey as an assistant for two years, then I went on to obtain my own professional license. While building my clientele full time, I also pursued a degree in nuclear medicine technology. I am now able to balance working in the medical field and as a stylist for nine years. Today my days are filled with the joyful chaos of chasing after my two young children while maintaining my career as a stylist. I continue to thrive in the industry I love and consider home. I specialize in creating stunning colors and precision cuts. One of my passions is special occasion styling. I am passionate about making every client’s experience enjoyable and bringing out the unique beauty of each of my clients.

Alexis Baughman

Hi, I'm Alexis or Lex. Right now I am a Senior at Montour High school, my plan is to attend Kent State University in the Fall but I still plan on coming back and helping out, I love helping whenever and wherever I can. I attended Parkway West during high school where I obtained my Cosmetology license. I started at Shag in 2020 with a passion for the industry that turned into a truly amazing job. When I'm not at the salon I spend my free time watching movies, reading books, hanging out with friends and family, and just enjoying life! If you've seen me anywhere else it would probably be under the Friday Night Lights as a Varsity Montour Cheerleader or on the stage during the yearly Montour Musical. Shag is truly a home away from home and I hope you come to see our amazing family!

Madi Ater

Hi! I am Madi and I am newly an assistant to the Shag Family! For all of my life I have been infatuated with the beauty industry. I have known since I was a little girl that this is exactly what I wanted to do. I attended Bella Capelli Academy and graduated December 2023. A few goals that I have for myself is to find confidence in what I do, continue to stay educated, and always embrace my creativity! A few of my favorites include vivid colors, layered haircuts, and dimensional color! My favorite thing about working at Shag is the family environment, we all support each other no matter what! I enjoy learning each and every stylist's different techniques! When I am not at work you will find me hanging at home with my family and pets or having fun with my friends! I am excited to continue to grow and learn more and more through my career!

Alannah Bernhardy

Senior Esthetician

Hi, I’m Alannah! I am a licensed esthetician specializing in eyelash extensions and brow services. I have been in the esthetics field since 2015. I have a passion for enhancing what my clients already have on their own. My goal is to help people feel confident in their own skin but to also embrace self care. The lash room doubles as a therapy room in a way. Some people relax, some like to nap, and some like to tell me all about their lives! Whatever vibe you are going for, I am happy to make it a safe space for you. When I am not lashing it up, I spend my time off with my fiancé Keith and my son Kellin. They are my world! I also have a crazy mutt named Ryuk. We love watching movies, doing art projects, and spending as much time outside as we can. Our favorite activity is painting on the porch with a cup of tea.
